At Bey & Bess, our mission is to empower adolescent females and women survivors of sexual abuse, trafficking, domestic violence, and other trauma related to abuse. We offer our services in both English and Spanish. Our approach combines talk therapy and dance therapy to cultivate confidence and promote healing. Through collaborative group sessions that integrate these therapeutic modalities, we aim to facilitate positive transformation, enhance self-confidence, and foster a supportive community of sisterhood. We firmly believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to overcome past traumas, build resilience, and confidently pursue a brighter future. Our mission is essential as it provides a safe and nurturing environment for those who have faced adversity, enabling them to heal both mentally and physically. Ultimately, we empower these individuals to lead fulfilling and productive lives, as healed women have the capacity to change the world.

Erica Bess, LMSW is a dedicated and compassionate social worker with over 15 years of experience in transformative trauma work. Drawing from her own journey of overcoming personal trauma, Erica has developed a deep understanding of the challenges her clients face. Her firsthand experience fuels her passion to empower others, helping them to not only heal but also to transform their pain into strength.
Throughout her career, Erica has specialized in trauma-informed care, working with individuals and communities to foster resilience and self-empowerment. Her unique approach combines evidence-based practices with empathy and insight gained from her own healing process. Erica work has touched countless lives, offering hope and guidance to those navigating the complexities of trauma.
Erica’s commitment to her clients and her community extends beyond individual therapy. She actively engages in advocacy, education, and mentorship, striving to create a more supportive and understanding environment for those affected by trauma. Fatima Bey, renowned as Fatima Bey The MindShifter, is an award-winning MindShift Coach dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve their own success. She hosts the MindShift Power Podcast, designed for teens and the adults who support them, fostering transformative conversations that inspire growth and resilience.
In addition to her coaching expertise, Fatima is an internationally awarded Master Seamstress, specializing in the design, creation, and alteration of exquisite wedding gowns. As she transitions from her sewing business to focus on Bey & Bess, her commitment to nurturing youth and women remains at the forefront of her mission.
A passionate Salsa dancer for over 20 years, Fatima infuses her vibrant dance energy into her work, helping women build confidence and joy through movement. She emphasizes the importance of balance in personal development, striving not only for healing but also for prosperity among women. A fierce advocate against human trafficking, she channels her dedication into empowering women through dance.
With a rich background in youth mentorship, Fatima has served in various roles, including teaching Sunday School, supervising a dormitory for young women at a Job Corps, and tutoring high school students in mathematics. Her experience working with diverse populations, including refugees and non-English speakers, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique needs of different cultures. Fatima's proficiency in Spanish further enriches her ability to connect with and support Spanish-speaking women.
At Bey & Bess, Fatima combines her extensive experience, cultural appreciation, and passion for dance to create a nurturing environment where women can thrive. Her journey is driven by a profound commitment to empowerment, confidence-building, and community support.
